Step 2 – Yay! You Made it!

  • Come in and Relax
  • Complete the paperwork and consent forms

Step 3 – Comfort Time!

  • Ah! The Numbing begins!

Step 4 – Decision Making

  • Here comes the design! Each person is an individual and their makeup should reflect the same! We not only simulate the design for your approval prior to beginning the treatment but we will also specifically formulate the perfect color to compliment YOU! Once the desired shape and color have been chosen, it’s time to start!

During Your Procedure

It’s Time To Start

  • ONLY Clean, fully disposable, non-latex, high-quality tools and supplies will be used.
  • Different Numbing products will be used to keep you completely comfortable during the entire procedure.

After Your Procedure

In the initial days after the procedure comes the love hate relationship with your newly Tattooed Cosmetics! Each procedure, much like each individual, will heal differently. Trust the Process!! The 1st session result will not be seen for at least 4-6 weeks. Be prepared to focus on aftercare for 7 to 14 days after the procedure

The Do’s

  • Use a fresh pillowcase
  • Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of color
  • Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week
  • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after the procedure.
  • Wear a hat when outdoors.
  • Avoid heavy sweating and long hot showers for the first 10 days.
  • Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days
  • Avoid swimming, lakes, hot tubs for the first 10 days
  • Avoid topical makeup including sunscreen on the area
  • Use a good sunscreen daily, once healed.
  • If planning a chemical peel, MRI or other medical procedure, please notify them you have iron-oxide cosmetic tattoo.
  • If planning to have laser hair removal on the upper lip or a photo facial using IPL, notify laser specialist of the cosmetic tattoo so this area may be avoided by the laser.  Both ablative and non-ablative lasers may cause pigment to turn black.
  • If you donate blood, it’s a Red Cross policy to wait one year after any tattooing procedure.

The Do Not’s

  • Don’t be alarmed if pigment comes off onto Q-tip when applying aftercare ointments.
  • Don’t be alarmed by fading after the first application. The final color can’t be judged until 4 weeks post-procedure.
  • Never use topical antibiotics. ex: A&D, Bacitracin, Polysporin.
  • No facials, Botox, chemical treatments, or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks
  • Don’t suffocate the area! Follow your aftercare. Less is more
  • Never use Vaseline
  • DO NOT PICK

The Aftercare

The day of the treatment: Absorb

  • Gently blot the area with a clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid.
  • Do this every 5 minutes for the full day until oozing has stopped.
  • Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymph.

Days 1-7: Wash

  • Wash daily to remove bacteria and dead skin. (THIS DOES NOT REMOVE THE PIGMENT!)
  • Gently wash your eyebrows each morning and night with water and an antibacterial soap like, Cetaphil or Neutrogena.
  • With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the eyebrows. Rub in a smooth motion for 10 seconds and rinse with water
  • To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue.
  • DO NOT use any cleansers containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or any exfoliants.

Days 1-7: Moisturize

  • Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area.
  • Be sure not to over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing.
  • The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin. Never put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo.
